Survival mode

There’s so much talk of healing, growth, and thriving. But for some, simply living is a battle for survival.

Sometimes you don’t have the ability to change. Sometimes you feel like you’re drowning and struggling just to breathe.

When my clients are in survival mode, every breath is a victory.

Going to work.
Doing the chores.
Taking care of the kids.
Showering.
Getting out of bed.

Survival mode is still work. It’s exhausting when you have nothing steady to ground you.

It doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It doesn’t mean you’re lazy.
It means you’re using every resource you have to keep going.

You don’t need to "do more." You don’t need shame. You deserve grace. You have earned every breath in your body.
